Lockdown restrictions are easing and we’re now upon the long-awaited return to our favourite pubs and bars. We are all hoping for a sunny spring and summer so we can enjoy a well-deserved pint or cocktail in a beer garden.

If you are stuck for somewhere to enjoy a drink outside, we’ve created a list of some of Liverpool’s best outside beer garden spots for this summer.

We’re nearly at the finish line however, Covid restrictions are still in place. Outdoor drinking and dining are allowed from the 12th of April, with indoor drinking and dining allowed from the 17th of May. We must also remember to bring a mask with us and check into the venue on the NHS track and trace app.

Meraki

Meraki is an independent music venue in the North Docks. It is the perfect place to enjoy dance music with a vibey atmosphere.

They have transformed their courtyard with picnic tables, plants and surround sound. You can now also order street food style pizzas, wraps and baguettes to your table.

Botanical Garden

49 New Bird St, Liverpool L1 0AH

The Botanical Gardens is an intriguing rustic spot amid the Baltic triangle. The outside space is a perfect spot to enjoy a gin surrounded by music and outdoor plants.

The venue is a delightful hidden gem that is a huge hit with locals on a sunny day. You cannot book so be sure to get down early to secure a table

Kazimier Garden

It is impossible to discuss outdoor drinking spaces in Liverpool and not mention Kazimier Garden.

The hidden spot is decorated with wooden tables, plants and upcycled decor. They have outside heaters making it a cosy place for an evening bevvy.

Pins Social Club

45 – 61 Duke St, Liverpool L1 5AP

Despite originally opening as a trendy bowling alley, Pins Social Club has become even more well known for a great spot to enjoy an outside drink in the sunshine.

They have recently opened one of Liverpool’s biggest rooftop bars. We recommend ordering a jug of Sangria and enjoying watching the sunset from your table.
