Where to watch the World Cup in Liverpool

It’s that time again! The world cup is back on, kicking off today with host Russia taking on Saudi Arabia. It promises to be a great month of football and who knows, maybe this will be the year England bring it home once more…To make sure you don’t miss any of the matches, we’ve put together our guide of all the best places to watch the World Cup in Liverpool. There’s everything from your traditional sports bar to a street food market hall serving up some excellent burgers to enjoy during the matches.

Baltic Market

Street food and the World Cup go hand in hand! The Baltic Market, located in the Baltic Triangle, will be showing every match and serving up some delicious food too (their halloumi fries are not to be missed!) It does get busy down there so make sure you arrive in plenty of time for each match.

Camp and Furnace

67 Greenland Street, L1 0BY

Camp and Furnace, located in the Baltic Triangle, will be pulling down the big screens and showing every World Cup match. There’s always an amazing build up for the big matches as everyone communally watches the matches.

Bierkeller

Thomas Steers Way, Liverpool One, L1 8LW

Grab a stein and watch England *maybe* play their way to glory! Bierkeller has the largest none-cinematic screen in the north west, measuring 4m x 2m! They also have over 20 HD screens tvs.

Motel

5-7Fleet Street, L1 4AR

A local ‘dive bar’ that serves great beer and cocktails and has a plenty of HD screens. It’s the ideal bar for watching the World Cup when you don’t fancy being surrounded by big loud crowds.

Cabin

27-35 Berry Street, L1 9DF

A sports bar with a difference! Cabin is located on Berry Street so is an ideal place to start or end a night. It’s a quirky après ski themed bar with as much focus on G&Ts, cocktails and prosecco as beer so there is something for everyone.

Roxy ballroom

26 College Lane, Liverpool ONE, L1 3DS

Located in Liverpool One, at Roxy Ballroom you can enjoy a game of pool, table tennis or even beer pong whilst watching the World Cup. You have to book in advance to play the games during busy periods – visit their website for more details.

Einstein

Concert Square, L1 4NR

The latest arrival on Concert Square, this German themed sports bar has over 30 HD screens. They also have VIP tables with their own beer tabs! So, head on down, grab yourself a stein and cheer on England!

Slim’s Pork Chop Express

85 Seel Street, L1 4BB

Putting an oriental spin on Chinese BBQ, Slim’s has a number of HD screens in its basement that’ll be showing the matches. It’s also teaming up with other independent joints in Liverpool to host exclusive takeovers for certain matches so make sure you keep an eye on their social medias.

McCooleys

Matthew Street & Concert Square

Located on both Matthew Street and in Concert Square, McCooleys always has a buzzing atmosphere and plenty of screens so you’ll never miss any of the action.

Legends Sports Bar

20-24 Matthew Street, L2 6RE

A stone’s throw from the Bridewell Hotel, Legends is located on the famous Matthew Street in the Cavern Quarter. If you like good music, good sport and good beer, this is the one for you.
